The Aurangabad Commissionerate, one of the four Executive Commissionerates of the Nagpur Zone, oversees the Marathwada region in Maharashtra for GST revenue collection. Its mandate includes ensuring fair and efficient tax collection, combating tax evasion, commercial fraud, and related offenses.
To manage its responsibilities effectively, the jurisdiction of the Aurangabad Commissionerate is divided into the following four divisions:
Each Division is further subdivided into Ranges, with a Deputy/Assistant Commissioner heading each Division and a Superintendent heading each Range. The Deputy/Assistant Commissioner is supported by a team including Superintendents, Administrative Officers, Inspectors, Executive Assistants, Tax Assistants, LDCs, Head Havaldars, Hawaldars, and Sepoys, in hierarchical order.
